Is The Universe Organic?

In order to reason you need some ground to stand on, a first premise. Then you need to have a goal to aim for, a second premise... only then can you begin to build a chain of logic that is open to verification.

To postulate an infinite eternal universe is the same as postulating an infinite eternal God, it's an unprovable assumption. You can call your unprovable assumption an axiomatic statement if you choose but it's still an assumption,, a myth that serves the purpose of providing a context within which some action can occur..

The Navajo, as illustrated by the Beat Poet Gary Snyder do the same thing.

"So Earthmaker said to Coyote, 'I guess there never was a world anywhere then?'"

"Coyote replied, 'I think that if we can find a little bit of space we might be able to create one.'"

Or as I have put it on more than one occasion..."As far as I can know by direct experience I have always existed and as far as I can know by direct experience I always will exist." That's self evident, because if I didn't exist I couldn't know that I didn't exist and if I cease to exist I won't exist so won't know that I have ceased to exist.

If you have power and use the above as a cage to put other people into then you will have harmed me in innumerable ways because you will have denied me the right to self determination, the right to set my own limits and to live in harmony with them. This is the big problem with inheritable private property rights and the myth of the corporation as a fictional person which has rights on a par with the individual rights of a living person. It turns a business convenience into a cage that prevents real human individuals from acquiring space for living. The corporation becomes an eternal rent collector with a lien on every productive individual forever and ever or as long as existence exists which ever comes first.

In suggesting that we treat the primary axiom as female then we have a way to provide context with a beginning and which is limited by environmental and ecological considerations, open and yet to be determined, subject to checks and balances evident within the appropriate context. If your existence is contingent on context then you have to very carefully identify that context before and while you are acting within that context, otherwise you will cease to exist.

At least that's how things look from within my present context.
